Opulent Carvings throughout on this large Server or Sideboard which was part of a complete dining set.  Cabinet provides large open work space with handsomely carved backslash.  In additional there are four doors with interior storage including drawers. Bruegel, the design and name was inspired by the works of Peter Bruegel, Pieter the Elder Bruegel (c. 1525-1569) who was a Dutch and Flemish Renaissance painter and print maker. Pieter the Elder's art reflected peasant life and religious works which was later used for inspiration on furniture during the 1920's-1940's. This furniture was typically Oak and was known for its higher quality and only purchased by the most wealthy.
